1998 V70 AWD Wagon w/90K - Looking to replace Fuel Pump.

As of yesterday I tore the back of the Volvo apart to see what I had to work with.

It seems that in order to do the fuel pump on this vehicle the car has to be on a lift and then you have to drain and drop the gas tank to even be able to look at the top of it.(much different from the 850's)

Had a fuel pressure gauge put onto the end of the fuel rail by the throttle body and when it was ready, started vehicle and the pressure blew the connection and gauge out of the engine compartment.

There have been no trouble codes at all for what is happening. The fuel filter was changed about 5K miles ago. Wondering if I should have another on hand as a spare. (hence why I also want instructions on changing out the fuel rail.)

All electrical connections, fuses and current measured out fine.

So where to go from here?
