I am not sure where I read it, but a plastic garbage bag makes a good coolant catcher on this repair. Slide it under the core and open the top up. coolant runs into the bag, slide it out with the core, cut the bottom of the bag over your favorite collection container and you are all set. Did mine last fall and it worked great.
