Transmission fluid V70-XC70

The 2004 V70 (60K miles) and the transmission fluid is getting brown.
Checking past responses did not completely answer these questions:
1. Use the Volvo called for fluid or what else is recommened??
2. If drain and add (dilution method)is used, how many qts. do you get out??
3. How complex is the flush method ?? Any guidance I can look up??
