You know that redish brown is still OK?

Your car manual states: AW5: Only Volvo transmission oil (1161540-8). But, this may be the same as Mobil 3309. Check it out.

Drain and add is a poor way to dump a quart of fluid and dilute the old stuff.

The flush method does require 12 quarts of fluid, but all is new again. Quite easy to do with only 3 old plastic gallon jugs and a clear tube.
