Got the axle out (also from fcpgroton) and the end that goes into the transmission was broken off along with most of the circlip. They are going to send me a new one for free but I am kind of nervous now about the quality of the product as well as the bits of the broken shaft and circlip that must be floating around somewhere in my transmission.
