New to brickboard and looking for advice V70-XC70

Hello all-

I am looking for a used 1998 or so V70 or a later model Volvo wagon. I have driven 240 series wagons for years and love them (mostly).

Can some maybe give me a general list of things to look out for so I dont get screwed or maybe suggest a model that isn't the V70 that I might want to consider?

I will be using the vehicle for in town driving and very occasional road trips (5-8 hours away)

I would also like to spend about 3k if possible.
