You might want to inspect the electrical portion of the ignition switch, which is behind the key and on the left side of the steering column.
I order to get the best voltage at starting time, first turn the headlights off, the heater fan to 0 (zero), and the radio.
If there is no contact with the starter at all, suspect the switch first and the battery connection second. Find a trickle charger and plug your battery in for 1 or 2 days. Any mistake on jumping the battery will fry the computers faster than you can say oops.
