i've got to admit I really missed the strong mid-range the bigger engines have, my old 2.0 glt auto would really shift with the gearbox sport selected, but just didnt seem right driving a 1 1/2 ton car like a boy racer !but it would regularly achieve over 40 mpg, ( we currently pay 5 ukp a gallon )I'd love a T6 next but it'll have to be dual fuel !
