We've got a 96 850 and we've had it since 1998. It had been a really reliable car until December when we found that a critter got into the engine compartment. Since then its been in the shop 4 times with various engine compartment issues. Last week it died at a stoplight (all the red/orange lights were on and it wouldn't turn over) - ended up being a fuel pump. Depending on what the issues are, I think its time to get rid of the car (my wife won't touch it with a 10 ft pole now). Should I just donate it? Part it out? Sell it (probably not worth much)? Its in pretty good condition, but its got 161,000 miles on it, worn leather seats, standard wear and tear on a 12 year old car. Totally bummed....
Any advice?
