I did this on my V70, and the fuel rail is set up differently. I looked at my 850 and found a swivel connector for the fuel line. When you did this last time, did you have to have to remove the fuel lines with the injector rail? Did the fuel line swivel? The return line does come off, if I remember correctly.

To get more room for your hands, remove the electric fan first.
