No Oil Pressure Warning Light S80 1999

Not that there isn't one but I do not recall seeing any "oil pick-up update". The late style O rings and seals are available and have been for years, aside from installing the new style seals I am not aware of any further updates. As for why the oil pressure was never checked, these white engines come in day in and day out with the same low oil pressure problems and pretty much without fail it is a set of O rings. So much so that if this were my comeback I would first screw in a guage to verify my low oil pressure and then pull the darn pan back off to verify that I did not screw something up like a slipped O ring when I went back together the first time. I highly doubt that anybody pulled a rod cap while they were in there the first time and the only reason that they are suggesting it now is that it is probably the next obvious guess in their opinion. In reality diagnosing an internal loss of oil pressure is really a pretty tough proposition, having been there and done that on a white engine myself. It could be as simple as an oil pump, but I doubt it.

Good luck and post back with what they find.
Mark
