The earlier poster (Tom 240) talked about doing this on an 850, and a '97 V70 would be the same basic setup, right? On mine, I'm not so sure... I would have to study it a little. As I said earlier, this is a completely different alternator than the 850's have, and mounted differently as well... the back end of it is not exactly out in the open.
