That plastic triangle has three plastic feet. Just pull it straight off. If you need to get behind the mirror glass, it also pops straight out but requires more care - push the mirror in as far as it will go on the car body side and then get behind it from the outside edge to pop it out. Be careful of the wires for the defroster.
