Off topic question about vinyl fuel line

Hi Klaus. Well, the screw type is easiest as I don't own a tool, and have the clamps here.

I gather from your response you think I should go for it, as long as I make a neat joint. I was worried the joint wouldn't work at all, and gas would spray out. Don't ask me why. I just didn't want to make a worse mess than I have now.

What I am doing is abandoning one of dual tanks on a pickup. The fuel pump in each tank has a check valve. This is how they prevent cross flow. But the valve in each has gone bad. So, the selected tank pumps into the non selected tank through the pressure side.

I could add a check valve in both pressure sides, but both tanks leak. How many problems can a person have/fix? I don't go more than 50 miles with the truck, so I don't need two tanks. I plan to remove the wye connections, and eliminate the pressure/return connections to the paralleled second tank. That's what I am up to.

Thanks for the reply, Don
