Off topic question about vinyl fuel line

Very good guess, but it is a 150. Pick n pull here in PA means I would probably pull a tank as bad as mine. I bought one one ebay.

I found out yesterday evening that the way these nylon lines are spliced is with HOT WATER, no clamps. That is consistent with what I see at the "wye" connections in the truck. You dunk the line in for 10-20 seconds, then press the barb in. I was trying to figure out how to have a heat source near the truck to keep the water hot, then realized any such source (torch - ha ha, electrical source) might blow everything up. At 20 seconds the water can't cool too much.

I haven't found much on the internet about splicing these lines, which I guess means most people never have to. If I were fixing the truck correctly, I wouldn't either. But 19 gallons of gas will carry me 3 months with my needs. The next long trip for this truck is to the pick n pull in the sky.
