Starting this morning was unusual to say the least... The engine raced to between 1500 - 2000 rpm's and then came back down...then shut-off. Attempt to restart..the engine it cranked fine...started to idle for a few seconds...then shut-off again...third attempt...it cranked...and did not start...acted as if there was no ignition / fuel flow...? I waited a few minutes and re-attempted...same thing... I let it set for approxiamately 10-15 minutes...and it started fine... Idles fine...runs great...

No CEL leads me to believe that no code has been captured...or would that be an incorrect presumption...?

Also, I noted during the crank cycle that the security LED mounted on the top center of the dashboard was flashing radically...never noticed it before...?

Has anyone experienced this? If so...what was in your case was the root cause and what did you do to correct?

Last time this happened replacing the antenna ring around the ignition switch...corrected the situation. That was 2.5 years ago... How often do these fail?
