AC questions 850

So I've been reading through older posts and someone mentioned a blue AC light coming on when the AC is active. I have no such light anywhere, should my 1996 have this? My climate control looks like the one pictured below. It has a recirculate button that when pressed lights up orange and it has an AC OFF button that when pressed in the off position, lights up orange.

Oh and Klaus, to answer an earlier question, yes it is getting warm down here in VA, last week it was around 95-97 for two days. Using windows down for AC at those temperatures isn't that effective. Were exactly are you from?
