If your axle boot is torn, it is best to just replace the entire axle. Do a search on axle replacement, it is a common theme for FWD cars.
The prices for axles run for less than $100 to $250. OEM is expensive but fit the best, some have had luck with cheaper parts. Your search should also give you hints on what to buy.

Unless the CV joint is already making a lot of noise, you have time to do research. Some have driven years with torn boots.
