Mike-

With 95K, I recommend the use of a good engine flush. If you don't, or won't, flush, then go ahead and change. Watch for any sudden increase in oil consumption after a couple of thousand miles. If you get such an increase, change the filter and top off.

You might want to drop the first batch of synthetic after 3-4,000 miles anyhow, especially if it seems pretty dirty.
