I'e noticed that some of the sellers of remotes and other Volvo parts are also selling parts for other vehicles too.

My conclusion is that they are connected to salvage yards or auction places and take what they can to sell on ebay. I've gotten owner's manual, tweeters, switches, etc. for much less then dealers and haven't been unhappy yet!

The only thing - be sure of what you are getting since they say very often remotes and such fit all 850s and they don't. Having a '93 I am well aware that there are several differences from later years.
