Yes, I do hope to document this project. Though I'm scared to touch the camera when my hands are dirty. This is an adventurous project for me. I'd like to go all out and do it right but I'd really like to just get the car running. If the rest of the head and valves look OK I'll just repair the damage. I need literature for this engine. I want to know that I will put it back together EXACTLY as it should be. With the camshafts in the valve cover and sans gears which are on the floor in front of the driver's seat and the way down thereness of the crank gear there's a lot of guess work to sort through. But I also repair audio power amplifiers and know about exhaustive reexamination before throwing the switch. But first I need to pull the head. Hope to have it on the "bench" before Friday so I'm ready for next weekend. I hope you all can stand by and offer moral support through this. With this engine I feel like I'll need it.
