Service light and Check engine light both on at almost same time. 850 1995

Your 1995 has onboard diagnostics, just like the 240/740. Read this:

The check engine light has nothing to do with the service light. You can turn off the service light, just search on it. Probably A-7, 555, 1-5-1. Not sure, its been a while.
