NO! Don't do that! A very light foot on the pedals and THINKING WAY AHEAD is the best method for driving in snow. These Volvos are very good in snow. W wears out the transmission, and I have only EVER used it once when I got stuck on a hill at a stoplight. It's like trying to start off in 3rd in a manual car - you burn up the clutch to get moving.
The TRACS will help you from spinning wheels while starting off - once I'm moving, I turn it off, otherwise it continues to flip out and make whirring noises once I'm going.
