Squealing engine when cold.... V70-XC70 1998

It’s been cold…When I start my car in the morning
there’s a loud squealing type noise. It gets progressively
quieter as the car warms up. It disappears after driving
for a while. Whatever the cause is, it is apparently triggered
by cold. It could be one of the 2 belts, perhaps a pulley,
or tensioner. How prone to cold is the serpentine belt tensioner?
How about timing belt hydraulic tensioner?
I hope it is not related to engine lubrication.
I have Castrol 10W 30 in the engine. Should I change to
synthetic? Opinions welcome…
