Hello 67122, Changing your 11 year old thermostat is a great place to start. I think you can change just the stat on a 1999. With Saabs, at least, changing the coolant temperature sensor at the same time is recommended by everyone. I've read here that in-dash mechanical(blend doors, interior temp sensor) as well as refridgerant line hardware(pressure sensors) can cause ECC code signal lights to flash. Find the list of flash codes. This is why I sought a V70 without ECC and a secondary air pump. Kira
