Carl,

Is this problem at every gas station, or just the one you always use? I have noticed some pumps are more prone to do this than others, but most of the time I have no problem. As for the light, maybe your cap is bad, or you arent tightening it enough.

If it behaves bad at all pumps, and you are fully tightening (couple clicks) the cap, and still have problems, I would take it back to the dealer. If they give you the run around, ask them to drive you to a gas station in one of their new models on the lot to prove their theory.
