I had the same problem with my 850 sedan, unfortunately, I ended up removing the interior trim, and the whole moonroof assembly and manually ( read: forced) it closed all the while bumping the switch to help close the panel. I ultimately decided just to seal it shut and disconnect the switch so it cant be re-opened. I saw no obstructions or broken tabs/tracks when I started, there were when I was done,though. It is now just a big skylight, but it doesnt leak. Probably not the optimum fix,but it was effective for my case. I wish you luck!
