I'll consider wrapping the intake hose again, but I'm interested to ceramic coating the exhaust manifold, thus thought of painting it directly instead of removing the mainfold. Thus requiring removal of the heat shield. As I mentioned, the brake booster is blocking the heat shield (mine is RHD), blocking removal from the top.
