I have momo DTM shift knob on my 98 C70, you just need to yank it hard. Get some of the twisting action in it while you are yanking it out.

There is nothing you need to worry about when you are using the momo shiftknob, the kit comes with different adapters that will fit most of the shifting rods. They are not those 'screw-on' types like the RAZO knobs.
