Have a look at this: http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php/topic/80181-850-ac-clutch-gap-fix/ You can see if there is a gap by looking from the top. I'm having similar trouble and will be trying the bread clip fix. Also, there might not be enough charge of R134a, The 850 likes a full charge, and the kit to try is in my recent posts. But, it sounds like the clutch problem, or a horribly expensive leak, which I hope it is not. Good luck
