While a CV joint will vibrate under throttle, a motor mount will produce a vibration that is hard to feel in the seat of the pants.

I agree with the 17in wheels, but you can only go to 16in because of the caliper clearance. Check before you buy.

I wonder if the strut shop passed up the re-alignment? It is required after replacing struts. You could go back to them and complain?
