Re: rotors - replace pads while resurfacing? 850 96

I shared the same experience - my brakes juddered on hard application. I skimmed (can't get over how there're so many expressions for this - ground/cut/turn, etc.) the front rotors but was told it would be safe to do this an absolute maximum of twice per rotor lifetime. saying that, many mechanics do not even recommend that they be skimmed at all. My mileage at the time 72,00km.

results - the brake judder disappeared completely.

Note, my Fr rotors are still very new, the pads are near worn, 78,000km now. I will be getting them replaced very shortly and will stick with OEM despite the excessive brake dust problem, and the temptation to go for metallic pads, but the fear of the possible adverse effects with aftermarket pads is just too great (I know someone who got so fed-up, he sold his T5 after he could not overcome the brake judder problem).
