Ray is right, Volvo says to NEVER turn their rotors and that dealer is wrong (must be new inexperienced people there). The times I've seen it attempted by a couple of techs who thought they knew better, the car soon came back vibrating again and the rotors were then replaced to fix it (called a "comeback", then done at the dealers expense). Don't have anyone turn the rotors.
Next, Volvo rotors and pads are good and in my 16 yrs with Volvo dealers, I'd say that the replacement OEM parts are far better than the aftermarket I see. The times I see aftermarket brake parts on Volvos, the brakes are usually noisy and we're then often asked to replace them with the OEM parts to make them quiet again and they don't come back with complaints (although I'm sure they're not happy that they paid double for a brake job). I use OEM parts on my Volvo too.
