Just want to give an update on the status of the noise coming from the bottom portion of my steering column whenever I turned the wheel. I dropped off the car at the dealership this morning and got a phone call a couple of hours later stating that they had replaced the O-rings. Service manager said there's a bulletin out for this right now. I didn't get anything in the mail, so anyone else out there who's experiencing this kind of problem had better go ahead and make an appointment with their dealer. Don't expect Volvo to inform you! I'm glad they fix everything free of charge, but I'm getting tired of taking the car in for repair every few months. Especially when I consider how much I paid for the vehicle...

Take it back as it's probably one of several things: anti-sway bar link rods, O-rings needed for the rear subframe bushings, and/or the steering column shaft needs to be sanded down a tad (can stick and cause a sensation felt in the steering column).
