Gasoline odor 850

You really need to get to know your own engine bay, it is not as complicated as it looks. Besides, having a mechanic do everything for an older car will create a money pit.

Running rich is usually a result of a vacuum leak. Valves tend to get messed up because the engine seldom runs over 2000 rpm, and if that is the case you should try driving in 3rd gear for a week, not Drive.

If the gasoline leak is in the engine bay, check the vacuum hoses for the fuel pressure regulator.
