blower motor has mind of its own S40-V40 2001

The transistor on the blower housing dissipates heat as it is the power stage in the fan speed control. Full speed will actually dissipate the least heat as it is not switching, just on all the time. The heat sink is in the air flow for cooling. My VW had a similar issue but one of the transistors were blown (it had 2). On the VW it was certainly repairable DIY.
