Volvo Australia warned me about this problem occuring on some 850s. They think it seems to be related to not lubricating the door straps enough,

and happens mostly with owners who wash the car a lot, thereby gradually washing off the lubricant! Does anyone know what grease is most suitable, or whether Volvo supplies it's own?
