Yeah, the dealers tend to fix things that don't need to be fixed. I wouldn'nt recommend putting ATF in your crankcase. Use an engine cleaner like Seafoam. I'll put it in, and drive 200 miles, then change the oil. I've got over 200k miles on my 96 850 turbo, can't say it has helped. Don't think it has hurt anything, either.
