Please do not type with caps lock, it is too hard to read.

Yes, you blew it. Good thing you can be off a couple of teeth and not have bent valves.

Before you take the belt off again, align all of the timing marks and then turn the engine clockwise an additional 90 degrees, and then back to TDC. This will releve the tension on the VVT and make things easier.

Do not compare the 2.3 with the 2.5, they are different.
