I'll second the Thule recommendation. When I was looking into racks, I looked at Volvo (which looked like thule), Thule, and Yakima. Basically, the advice I got from several different shops that sold both was....Have a Swedish car, get a Swedish rack. The Thule design was most likely targeted for Volvo and Saab first.
