Reset service light not working 850 1995

I tried these instructions three times before I got it to work. What my problem was, I was waiting too long after the first step of getting the Red LED light to come on, before moving to the 1-5-1 sequence. Because if you hesitate too long, the Red LED light will go off and you have to start over.

So after the Red LED light comes on after pressing the button 4 times, then immediately got to 1 press, wait for the light, 5 presses, wait for the light and 1 final press and wait for the light. Then pull the jumper out after the last light goes out and the Service Light stays off.

Thanks for the help everyone. My wife was driving me crazy and wanted me to take it to the dealer to get it turned off.
