I think this problem has only happened three times in the last couple of years, but always too the wife, so you can see how serious it is.
The car was driven 2 km to the grocery store, ( city speeds), and after being parked for 20 minutes or so refused to start. This has always happened on a rainy day. The first time it happened , I suggested letting it sit 20 minutes, ( believing that the underhood heat would dry the engine out), and voila, it started,
The problem occured last evening, same conditions. The car started ,ran poorly and stalled going into gear. Twenty minutes later it started and conveyed an angry wife home. Taking into considerstion how many times this car has done the same trip under the same conditions, I'm not so sure that it is a dampness problem.
Any thoughts?
I'll check the ODB today to see if it threw any codes.
