Volvo battery longevity S80 2005

Another trick I learned recently is that our cars can generally accept larger batteries (with more capacity) than we're putting in them.

My car is spec'd to have a size (BCI Group Number) 48 battery, but I understand the size 49 battery will also fit (spec for the S90).

(I'm going to try to put some HTML in here - hope it works)

RC
Reserve Capacity - The amount of minutes a battery can be discharged to 10.5 volts by 25-amp discharge at 800F.

CA
Cranking Amps - Cranking power for 30 seconds at 32°F are approximations only and should not be confused with CCA.
