Hi there,
I own a '98 V70R AWD. I know, the AWD is not all the time engaged,
I guess, normally the Viscocoupler gives 95% to front and 5% to the rear, is that right?
1.Question: Do you hear anything, when the AWD is fully engaging?
Does the Viscocoupling make any noise when it is shifting power from front to rear?
2.Question: If I feel wheels slipping (done on purpose, for fun e.g.), does that mean, all wheels are slipping?
3.Question: I guess, it is normal that the TRACS needs about
half a second to engage. That's this clicking noise, isn't it?
4.Question: The AWD is responsible for the fact that it is impossible to let the wheels slip ("burn rubber") with the car,
even in the very rare cases where i would like to?
5. (last) Question: I feel like the power of the engine is restricted when using 1st gear (manual car), even with the chip-tuning engaged. Is that possible? The cars pulls terrific in second gear, but in first gear, it is just alright...
Lots of questions, but we just had lots of snow over here,
so I guess, I really needed and used the AWD for the first time.
Thanks for any answers
Ralf
