Bad O2 sensor: Is car usable? 850 1997

Generic code readers will call the front O2 sensor #1 and rear #2. It is the front that usually goes first. Either are not hard to replace, once you have the crud off the plugs and let the penetrating oil do its job on the sensor.

A poor sensor will cause your engine to run rich. Running rich coats the plugs and the cat converter. Your engine will be harder and harder to start and after about 6 months, will refuse to run.

Besides wasting a lot of gasoline money due to poor MPG.

Replace it now.
