This sounds a lot like the vibration I'm getting from my 98 C70. When cool/cold, it vibrates quite seriously in-gear and stopped. Really doesn't do it in neutral/park, so it's been difficult to trace.

I was thinking it was a loose belt - timing, serpentine, something. But now I'm wondering if it could be the tranny.
