my 850 1996 battery would die because the glove compartment light would remain ON when the box door is closed
this may be a reason why your battery dies.
i simply removed the light bulb and battery has been fine for 2 years since

i have not had trouble with my codes but have had air pump problems which causes the CEL to illuminate
