I am about to move essentially cross country in the next few weeks, my question is whether I should be proactive with my DIM. In recent weeks it has begun to manifest the racing clock phenomenon, it doesn't happen at every start-up, and doesn't always last too long, but clearly from what I have read it is a sign of things to come. I presume that the longer the car is driven the higher the likelihood that the chip will heat up and ultimately fail, I currently have a short commute to work and therefore only run the car in short intervals. Should I go ahead and remove the DIM and ship it off to Xemodex for a reto-fit and refurbish, or risk attempting to get to my new locale prior to DIM full on failure, which I presume at this point could happen at any time.
Thanks,
Moleses
