Re: Stalling? S40-V40 1998

Robert,

I HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM! This message board is incredible, I've learned so many things and found out that some of the problems I've had, have been experienced by others (Arno). And also learned about new problems so I can "avoid" them.

Anyway, my situation was exactly the same, "hard (sharp) left turn at about 20-25kph (15mph)"...The only difference was that I noticed that the "Lambda" light turned ON. I then restarted the car and took off. I took my car to the dealer and, this was a long time ago so I may be mistaken, they adjusted the DSA. I was explained that the DSA (traction control) has a kind of fine tuning because it will gradually turn of the cylinders so the car looses power so it can gain traction again.

Yes this does sound like "garbage"...I also recall something related to somekind of POTENTIOMETER, I don't remember if it had something to do with the DSA and that it wasn't properly grounded to the chassis.

Sorry for the bad explanation. Let's do this, I contact the dealer and see if I can find the records related to this problem. But the fact is yes this is an ISSUE and IT CAN BE SOLVED.

Cheers,

///Martinez
