Loss of electrical 850 1997

How did you check the battery terminals? That would be my first guess, get a
wire brush battery terminal cleaner and do over the ends. The clue with battery
terminals going sour is that the starter will labor and strain sometimes, as well as quit intermittantly.

A close second is a worn/flaky ignition switch.
